At Equestrian Center North Idaho, we take pride in representing our dedicated members that strive to succeed in their horsemanship skills and competitive sports. We promote a culture of strength and achievement, empowering individuals to pursue their dreams in the equestrian world.
HORSEMANSHIP PROGRAM
Our Horsemanship program goes beyond just riding; we focus on understanding horse behavior and communication while developing strong leadership skills, establishing healthy boundaries, and developing confidence. Our goal is to equip you with the skills to work with horses in any situation, both on the ground and in the saddle. Through all of our programs we emphasize comprehensive horse care and health, ensuring you are well-prepared to nurture equine companions.
Horses, tack, and safety equippment are provided.

HORSEMANSHIP ACTIVITIES
Horsemanship Club
$160 / month
Weekly 2 hour sessions
Ages 9-12 and 13-17

The Horsemanship Club provides a fun, supportive social environment where like-minded young riders can learn, spend time around horses, and build friendships. The Club combines classroom education, hands-on horsemanship, and riding, teaching students about horse behavior, care, grooming, equipment, safety, anatomy, communication, and other practical skills beyond the saddle.
Classroom learning is paired with riding and hands-on activities so students can put their knowledge into practice. Our goal is to develop knowledgeable, confident, and capable horsemen and horsewomen—not simply riders.
*Before joining the club, students must take at least 1 month of lessons.
Riding Lessons
$160 / month

Horses and tack are provided
Our riding lessons go far beyond simply getting in the saddle. While riding is the primary focus, students also develop a strong foundation in horsemanship through learning horse care, grooming, groundwork, communication, safety, and understanding horse behavior.
Each lesson is designed to build not only riding ability, but also confidence, awareness, and a deeper understanding of the horse. With only up to 2 students in a session, students receive individualized attention and instruction while developing the skills needed to become confident, capable, and thoughtful riders.
